The calculation algorithms of the volume calculation commands (grid, profile or surface difference) are completely different, and it is normal for the result to be different.
The most accurate (albeit slowest) calculation method is surface difference, since it accurately considers complete surfaces. The results obtained with the profile difference and grid methods should approach the surface difference method the smaller the interval between profiles or the cell dimension, respectively.
