The Images> Insert Images command allows you to place georeferenced images in the TIFF, JPEG, ECW, JPEG2000 and MrSID formats in their real coordinates.

It can be verified that the images are georeferenced simply if there is a file in the same folder with the same name as the original and another extension (.TFW for TIFF, .JPGW or .JGW for JPEG, .EWW for ECW, .JPW or .J2W for JPEG2000 and .SDW for MrSIDs), although all these formats except JPG can bring the georeference included in the same image file.
