What is the difference between elements and alignments?

Road layout elements (lines, curves, and spirals) are optionally joined together and they do not have a station assigned to them. With the Elements menu commands it is possible to link them in such a way that they meet certain conditions to meet the project requirements.

On the contrary, the alignments are a set of elements that have already been joined and an initial station has been assigned, so that they can be used to obtain profiles.

In certain operations a message says that it is not possible to find a solution. How can I find it?

In most cases, if the program reports that it is not possible to find a solution, it is necessary to change the input parameters that you have requested (radii, parameters or lengths). It is also possible that the designated alignments are too far or too close to meet the requested requirements.

What are the Group and Ungroup commands for?

The Group command allows you to select multiple elements and join them so that you can edit their elements graphically or numerically, as well as connect that group with other element or groups.

When converting alignments, tangency errors appear

These errors are due to an incorrect arrangement of the alignments, so that they are not tangent to each other and therefore the azimuth does not vary continuously. Normally it occurs when there is a sequence of several straight lines in a row.

The way to solve it is by introducing a sequence of curves and / or spirals between the two lines.
